Twitter made me do it!

One of Mama Kat’s vlog prompts this week was:
Ask Facebook what you should make a video about and do it!
…but I kinda-sorta, accidentally asked Twitter instead.

If you’re a blogger that hasn’t been living under a rock, then you probably know that the BlogHer blog conference was in Chicago last weekend. Last Friday I stumbled upon a Twitter party #HomeCon13 for those of us that weren’t lucky enough to attend BlogHer this year. Being my usual awkward self I started rambling about dancing the Roger Rabbit and wearing onesies. Within a few minutes I was convinced that I needed to make a vlog dancing the Roger Rabbit, preferably while wearing a onesie. (There’s screencap/Storify proof of the convo below, but the image is huge, so I’m going to post the video first.)

(Watch on YouTube)

I really am truly very, very sorry that you had to see that!

WordPress.com is a butt face about embedding certain things, so I had to make screencaps of everything. However, if you click through the image you’ll be taken to the prettier Storify version.

And after all of the hard work to put that together, it’s still too small for you to read 😦

You can see a recap of ALL the #HomeCon13 fun by reading @JennSmthngClv‘s Storify here.

Many other #HomeCon13 attendees have written recap posts from their perspective. I was going to link to them, but to save me some time and sanity I’d instead like to invite them to leave their links in the comments 🙂

Thanks to Tracy (CrazyAsNormal) from Crazy as Normal for letting me know that today…
I win the internet! My plan is working…muhuwahahahaha! Next step: World Domination!

  2. OMG! That. Was. Completely. Awesome!!! I had seen the dance before…just didn’t know what it was called, but I think that by you wearing the onesie made it even more special. I can’t remember why the onsie was even brought up in the convo, probably because, you know….beer. So glad I met you at the Twitter party!

    • Onesies make everything more special 🙂
I don’t know. I think it was around the time that everyone was getting thrown in Twitter jail and I was just like, “Hey, I have an adult sized onesie!”, and then it snowballed from there. You can check out the onesie convo on Storify.

So glad to have met you and a bunch of other amazing bloggers as well!

  3. As one of the party goers who encouraged you to post this, I bow to you, oh queen of the Roger Rabbit. I missed the whole onsie conversation that night, which probably would have given me nightmares anyway. You rock!

    • Why, thank you, Dana! Most people like to go right for the running man, but I like to be different 😉
Nightmares?! I should hope not! The onesie is beloved by all! In fact, I think I should write a bedtime book with the onesie as the central character 😉 Nighty-night!

  9. You are a very brave girl!! I can tell that I might be the one to bring the giant diapers or adult Jammie’s but YOU would be the one to rock them!

The only way you would see me shimmy in my MC Hammer genie pants is after too many sangrias at BlogHer 🙂

    • If we are ever together and you bring diapers and jammies I would most certainly rock them out! And I would be very tempted to buy you enough drinks to see the Hammer dance! 🙂

    • Ah yes, the Running Man and Cabbage Patch are much more well known than the Roger Rabbit. I busted out all of those little moves in this video…so glad that I could help you 😉

  12. Oh my, that was hilarious. I had no clue that they even made adult onsies. 😉 I will have to follow you on social media so that I can see your newest videos.

    • I didn’t have a clue either until it just showed up in my mailbox one day. Now it’s my most prized possession! I’m not sure what the onesie is going to do in 2014, something awesome I’m sure!

  13. Loved it! I was there so I remember the onesie picture. I burned calories just watching you. You go girl!

  14. Didn’t know one could rock out in an adult onesie, yet you are living proof it is possible.

Great sense of humor. No, I don’t own an adult onesie, nor do I plan on ever owning one …

I would LOVE to attend a BlogHer conference. I’m hoping they will snap me up at one of their speakers (dream on …)

    • I imagine that one could do just about anything in an adult onesie…limitless possibilities!

Thank you so much 🙂 I fear there aren’t many adult onesie-owners. It was never anything I aspired to have. Mine came to me magically in the mail one day and my life has forever been changed since 😉

If you ever get that speaking engagement, let me know! I’ll come sit in the front row in my onesie so that you aren’t nervous.

I love SITS. And I love talking about myself. What a perfect combination.

I’ll be visiting you soon. Thanks so much for stopping by and leaving a comment 🙂
